Mobility Day

Join the Mobility team for Mobility Day on November 2nd from 11am – 2pm at the Mayor’s Food Truck Fiesta in Lykes Gaslight Square Park. The event will feature vendors and information on the many ways you can get around Tampa. Learn about the different micro mobility options available, how and where to use them, and how you can get involved in the process!

Call to Artists

The City of Tampa is constructing a government services facility on the vacant property at 2515 East Hanna Avenue. The City Center at Hanna Avenue will be a state of the art, LEED Silver building - housing employees from seven City departments. The selection committee has expressed an interest in a large, signature sculpture to function as a welcome and identifier for a significant city facility. Deadline to apply via café is November 18th.

Backyard Composting Program

November registration is open for the Solid Waste Backyard Composting Program! If you live within the City of Tampa Solid Waste service area, join the November workshop on November 22nd at 12pm & receive a free backyard bin for participating.

Job of the Week

The Technology & Innovation team is looking for a Systems Administration Network Engineer to be responsible for technical analysis work with an emphasis on internetworks and telecommunications. This includes utilizing remote monitoring tools to accurately diagnose network problems or performance degradation and taking appropriate corrective actions. This role also will provide technical support for physical and virtual infrastructure, Microsoft Windows Servers and related services which may include operating system, server roles, file share services, data protection and replication systems and other application access services.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I love to spend my free time at church, cutting hair and spending time with my family.

Where’s your favorite place/restaurant/shop in Tampa?
I love Tampa’s famous Charley’s Steakhouse.

You can go anywhere in the world for free. Where would you go and why?
If I could go anywhere for free in the world, it would be Dubai. I would also take my wife on her dream vacation.
