March 22, 2023, Midland, MI. –On Friday, April 14 and Saturday April 15, the glamour and glitter of Broadway returns to Creative 360’s Bayliss Street Stage as 25 Michigan artists come together to present the fourth installment of the popular Broadway Flight Series.
The Broadway Flight Series, which debuted in May of last year, is an enhanced cabaret style performance that offers a taste of four different Broadway Shows in one fun-filled evening. In addition, each show on the stage is cleverly paired with a corresponding wine to create the wine flight that comes as part of the ticket.
The series is the creation of Brigham, who was looking for ways to uplift the artistic voices of the community while sharing the incredible music and stories from the Great White Way. Because four different musicals are featured, there are four different casts, allowing Brigham to include a larger group of talented local artists.
“In addition to featuring extraordinary local talent, every Broadway Flight has a surprise element. In January it was a performance from the 30 person Lux choir in Titanic,” remarked Broadway Flight originator and director Laura Brigham. “We love to keep the audience guessing - no two flights are the same.”
Broadway Flight performances are designed to include all styles of musical, from classics to the latest craze with a few undiscovered treasures thrown in. Creative 360 does not announce ahead of time which shows will be featured. But Brigham shared that if guests were hoping to hear numbers from the longest running show currently on Broadway, they will definitely love this show.
The performance will be accompanied by pianist James Hohmeyer, keyboard/violinist Susan Mercy, and drummer Steve Nyquist. Performers include Erin Whitfield, Paul Reece, Mario Sangret-Saville, Bill Anderson Jr, Adam Gardner-Northrop, Danny Schulz, David Ritter, Maddie Wyman, Natalie Slawnyk, Aiden Montgomery, Darby Johnson, Gretchen Shope, Cameron Schott, Sarah Haskett, Mandy Winchester, Stephen Fort, Kyle Sandborn, Melissa Bornemann, Erica Tatum, and some surprise guest stars! The shows will once again be narrated by Midland actor Katie MacLean-Peters.
The Broadway Flight performances are Friday, April 14 and Saturday April 15 from 7-9 pm. Admission is $20 pre-pay and $25 at the door. Ticket price includes a wine or lemonade flight. Additional wines will be available for purchase. You may bring snacks!
