UPCOMING EVENTS

Coloring Club
Mondays, 10:30 a.m.
We will provide coloring sheets, colored pencils, crayons, and some relaxing tunes. We can't wait to see what you create!
Ages 3 and up with caregiver. No registration required.

3D Collage Workshop
Friday, July 7th, 2 p.m.
Using various recycled materials, participants will design a collage with inspiration from the Eric Carle Museum. 
Ages 7 to 10.

Team STEAM
Fridays, 4 p.m.
This program is perfect for curious minded children who want to engage in STEAM activities in a group setting.
Ages 6 to 11.

Tiny Food Explorers
Tuesday, July 11th, 11 a.m.

Thursday, July 13th, 11 a.m.
Participants will make a tasty treat in this engaging class. All snack ingredients will be nut-free, but they may contain dairy.

Dyno-mite Dinosaurs!
Tuesday, July 11th, 4 p.m.
Turn your handprint into a dinosaur in this fun crafting program!
Ages 3 to 5. 

Music with a Latin Beat
Thursday, July 13th, 5 p.m.
Surcari performs music on a wide array of traditional instruments that celebrate Latin music and folklore. Their colorful performance will engage the whole family as you clap and sing along together.
Ages 3 and up with caregiver. No registration required.

Emotional Creatures Puppets
Saturday, July 15th
1 p.m. - Ages 5 to 8

2:30 p.m. - Ages 9 to 12
Adelka Polak from Sova Dance and Puppet Theater will engage the participants in an interactive class where we will turn pool noodles into our "emotional creatures" puppets.

The Big World of Bugs
Monday, July 17th, 2 p.m.
Ryan "The Bug Man" Bridge will share some amazing facts and break down stereotypes about our buggy friends. Best of all, everyone will have a chance to pet and hold a bug at the end of the program!
Ages 5 and up with caregiver. No registration required.

Unicorn Sewable Circuits
Wednesday, July 19th, 2 p.m.
Let's combine circuitry with arts and crafts! Sew up a circuit using flexible conductive thread for a unicorn keychain with a light-up horn.
Ages 8 to 12.

Kids' Spa Day
Thursday, July 20th, 4 p.m.
Learn how to make some homemade beauty products you'll get to take home. 
Ages 8 to 12.

Food Explorers: Rainbow Pasta
Wednesday, July 26th, 3 p.m.
Join Food Explorers for a colorful pasta class. You will learn how to make homemade pasta dough and make it bright & colorful by using natural food colorings. The end result will be beautiful rainbow noodles!
Ages 7 to 12.

The Yo-Yo Show
Thursday, July 27th, 4 p.m.
Yo-yo world champion John Higby will present an interactive show featuring big and small yo-yos and a unicycle. John has performed his unique high-energy comedy yo-yo show in 26 countries and currently holds 4 Guinness World Records. You won't want to miss this extraordinary show!

Inside Pop Art
Monday, July 31st, 4 p.m.
Get inspired by the Pop Art Movement and create your own masterpiece featuring your favorite popular culture.
Ages 8 to 12.

Outdoor Baby Laptime
Tuesdays, 9:30 a.m.
Join us for fingerplays, songs, and bounce rhymes in this lapsit storytime in the courtyard!  In the event of rain, this storytime will move to our Community Room.
Pre-walking babies up to 18 months with a parent of caregiver.

Outdoor Toddler Storytime
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:30 a.m.
Join in the fun at Toddler Storytime in the courtyard! This storytime will feature fun songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and stories. In the event of rain, this storytime will move to our Community Room.
Ages 18 months to 3 years. 

Music with Mr. Jim
Friday, July 7th, 10:30 a.m.
Mr. Jim's sing-alongs are designed to be fun-filled experiences for children, encouraging them to engage and enjoy themselves. With his energetic guitar playing and harmonica skills, he creates fast-paced music that gets the little ones dancing and having a blast.
Ages 1 to 5. 

Storytime at Highland Farm
Wednesdays, July 12th, 19th, 26th, 10 a.m.
Join us for outdoor storytime, where we'll wiggle and laugh along to action-oriented books, fingerplays, songs, and rhymes that focus on early literacy skills. Please bring a blanket or towel to sit on as the grass is often damp. Co-sponsored with Darien Parks and Recreation.
Ages 1 to 5. 

Music with Joy Blooms
Friday, July 28th, 10:30 a.m.
Join singer-songwriter Joy Blooms for a fun-filled summer music celebration!  Joy will present a reading of "Summer" by Alice Low, featuring illustrations by Roy McKie. In the event of rain, the performance will take place in our Community Room. 
Ages 1 to 5.
