Schools and Libraries

Warmest Wishes for the Holidays from Darien Library

On behalf of the entire staff and Board of Trustees, we would like to thank all of our Friends who have supported the Library this year. Our achievements are the direct result of the extraordinary support of our Friends. We are the most actively used library in the state and the heart of Darien.

If you have already contributed, many thanks for your support. If you have not yet made a gift, it is not too late! Please consider supporting Darien Library with a tax-deductible gift before year's end.

We launched a new website and catalog via a generous grant from The Darien Foundation.

We are actively enhancing services to teens and tweens with a dedicated new department.

(Welcome Jenna! She's the new McGraw Family Librarian who will be working with tweens.)

While a grant from the Town of Darien pays for the daily operations and maintenance of our building, Friends donations are the only support for our broad array of programs, books, technology, and other services that are carefully chosen to match your interests and needs.

Whether you are new in town or a longtime resident, we want you to know that Darien Library is your library. We look forward to seeing you in 2023!
