Tiny Food Explorers

Come and explore new flavors and textures with a registered dietitian while playing games all about food! Participants will make yummy snack in this engaging class.

Darien Library and Barrett Bookstore are proud to welcome Olympic gold medalist and figure skating champion Nathan Chen to Darien! Nathan will share his debut picture book, Wei Skates On,
Recommended for children with their parent or caregiver.

March Madness Party: A Bracket of Champions
Tuesday, March 14th, 4 p.m.
Join us for an afternoon of sports stories and trivia. Choose your favorite teams, get ready for some upsets, and fill out a bracket of winners.
Ages 9 to 12.

Snacks Around the World: Brazil
Thursday, March 16th, 4 p.m.
In collaboration with Teen Services, join us on a culinary journey to Brazil as we try sweet, savory, and delicious snacks! This program will also include trivia and ranking of the snacks that you try.
Ages 6 to 16.

Celebrate Persian New Year (Nowruz)
Tuesday, March 21st, 4 p.m.
Come learn about Persian New Year, also known as Nowruz, and its many festivities like creating a 'haft-sin' table. Participants will also make a goldfish art activity.

Wednesdays, March 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th, 10:30 a.m.
This fast-paced Storytime for toddlers includes rhymes and songs followed by an animated picture book film. 
Walkers up to 36 months. No registration required.

Libros y Cuentos
Alternating Fridays, March 3rd, 17th, 31st, 9:30 a.m.
A bilingual storytime with a mix of books, rhymes, and songs in both Spanish and English. 
All ages. No registration required.

Saturday Storytimes
Saturdays March 11th, 18th, 25th at 11:30 a.m.
This winter Storytime for families will include some of our favorite books, fingerplays, and songs. 
All ages. No registration required.

Goldbas Musical Story Hour
Friday, March 10th, 10:30 a.m.
Join Kate and Jake Goldbas as they bring children's literature to life through song, imaginative play and movement in their interactive storytime meets sing-a-long!
Ages 1 to 5. No registration required!

Joy Blooms Music & Movement
Friday, March 24th, 10:30 a.m.
Get ready to pop some bubbles and boogie at our children's music and storytime event with Joy Blooms!  Joy will encourage music and movement with her enchanting and interactive songs, and present a reading of "Curly's Fun With Bubbles" by Sherry Boddie. 
Ages 1 to 5. No registration required!
