September Spotlight

Hello, Americantowns!

Best known for its Halloween festivities, did you know that October also recognizes a multitude of other celebrations? On October 10th alone, the world celebrates Columbus Day, Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Fiji Day, Cuba Independence Day, and World Mental Health Day — just to name a few! Delve into some of the Library's informative online databases to explore more learning resources!

And don’t miss National New Friends Day on October 19th. Simply strike up a conversation with someone new or make plans to hang out with a new acquaintance. Or perhaps you’d like to celebrate something else this month. Double-dare your friends and family to step out of their comfort zones to grow and engage with newcomers in our Library community!

Let us take a walk on the scary side and try a new spine-tingling book, courtesy of our librarians. Looking for the latest and greatest new book?  Scroll through our October New Release offerings!

Now let us see what our friends are reading this month.
