From: University of Michigan Museum of Natural HistoryNow in its 53rd year, Earth Day remains a rallying call-to-action for millions of people around the world as we battle the ongoing climate crisis. This annual event has only become more important as we recognize the urgency of climate action and the responsibility we have to protect our planet. For this year’s theme, Earth Day organizers call for the world to Take Action! Start your celebration by joining U-M professor Matthew Lassiter to learn how U-M students influenced the establishment of Earth Day in 1970. Then, learn how you can participate in No Mow May, which helps preserve habitat for our native pollinators.
