ETC to Present A Christmas Chaos

The 2022-2023 season of the Elgin Theatre Company continues with A Christmas Chaos, a hilarious holiday farce by Michael Wehrli.

The holidays will soon be upon us and Elgin Theatre Company is working arduously to again present a tribute to the Holiday Season. In the past you have loved our Christmas radio plays with such memorable characters as Jack Benny, Fibber Magee and Molly, Our Miss Brooks and MORE! You laughed so hard you almost cried!

This year we are presenting a HOLIDAY PLAY! appropriately titled A Christmas Chaos by Michael Wehrli. This totally funny show will again keep you on the edge of your seats and tickle your innards. The Royal Shakespeare Company is on its way to the theater to perform its heart rendering version of Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol, but snow and other problems cause them to be delayed and they will not be performing tonight as planned.

The local theater group now has to figure out what to do. The tickets have already been sold and the audience will be coming in the doors soon. What now happens is the beginning of an unbelievable evening of chaos as egos and forgotten lines and forgotten props all lend to the madness. You will not want to miss this chance to get your holidays started off on the right foot.

A Christmas Chaos is being directed for the Elgin Theatre Company by Julie Price.

Performances of A Christmas Chaos will be held on November 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, and 20, 2022. Friday and Saturday performances start at 8:00 PM and Sunday performances start at 2:00 PM.

A Christmas Chaos will be presented at the Elgin Art Showcase, 164 Division St., Elgin, IL 60120, on the 8^th floor of the Elgin Professional Building in Downtown Elgin.

Tickets are priced at $20.00 for adults and $18.00 for seniors and students. Group rates for this production are available by calling (847) 741-0532.

Some parking is located on Division Street, as well as plentiful parking in the City of Elgin parking lot on the corner of Division Street and Douglas Street and in the City of Elgin parking deck located at the corner of Spring Street and Highland Avenue.
