Spoon Carving Workshop
Taught by Reinaldo Cruz
One night — One Spoon Two nights — Two Spoons
Craft a holiday gift for a loved one — or for yourself! Carve a wooden spoon from New England hardwood using traditional tools and techniques. Starting with a spoon blank, use a carving knife, hook, axe, and file to create your piece.
There is still time to register for the December 8th session, 6 to 9 p.m.!
Adults, ages 16+
The December 15th session is sold out.
Reinaldo Cruz (Wood Carver, Woodworker, Sustainable Food Gardiner, Permaculture Designer, and Educator) will help you access your inner woodcarver.
The Whitney Workshop goes to Edgerton Park for the
Winter Solstice Luminary Walk 2022
Edgerton Park will be aglow on Saturday, December 17th with over 1,000 luminary lanterns and light sculptures made by local artists. Learn about the art and science of light by visiting our large interactive display using projected red, green, and blue light — a giant version of one of our popular projects.
