MLK Day

Vacation Program

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s passion for education and strengthening the community, we will travel with campers to the flood-prone areas of northwestern Bangladesh to explore the concept of Floating Schools.

Campers will construct their own Floating School, complete with a classroom and solar-powered lights. They will add details and essential fixtures to the classrooms they create.

Keeping the Ball (& Socket) Rolling

The museum was honored to collaborate with Ball & Socket Arts on a new sign for their building after almost 40 years of dormancy. Ball & Socket Arts is a community-led initiative dedicated to reimagining the historic Ball & Socket Manufacturing Co. into an arts venue. Cheshire native Nina Chang (former Apprentice and Design & Production Intern) played an important role in realizing the project.
