From: Regina A. Quick Center for the ArtsWe are delighted to share one of our most joyful and dynamic seasons yet as we offer you the first look at the 2024-25 Quick Center for the Arts season.
What’s coming up this season?
- Award-winning musicians take center stage including the return of Portuguese Fado singer, Mariza, an unforgettable evening honoring Tony Bennett with the Ambassador of the American Songbook, Michael Feinstein joined by the Carnegie Hall Ensemble, Grammy winner Lila Downs, and David Krakauer and Kathleen Tagg with their new project, the Good Vibes Explosion.
- Baye & Asa will make their Quick Center debut with new dance work that honors a multi-generational cast with an evening of dance that will leave you wowed.
- Whether you’re a huge fan of classical and chamber music or wanting to experience how this music is more alive now than ever, be sure to check out the Czech National Philharmonic Orchestra, a performance by Owls – the most exciting chamber quartet on the scene, and of course, a performance by pianist Orin Grossman with very special guests.
- The Japan National Society and the Wesleyan University Center for the Arts join the Quick in a special presentation of the acclaimed Japan National Bunraku Theatre celebrating Japanese theatre that has been in existence for over 400 years with stories that still connect and share meaning.
- Perspective changing theatre is back with our acclaimed Global Theatre Performance Series curated by Cheryl Wiesenfeld.
- No Quick season is complete without circus. Montreal reigns with the return of Machine de Cirque in the new work, Ghost Light, and you’ll be dazzled as Cirque Kikasse offers a dynamic circus show featuring extreme acrobatics and a food truck all in one!
Plus, thought-provoking speakers as part of our Open VISIONS Forum series including the National Lafayette Symposium, Bari Weiss, author Walter Kirn, Stuart Weitzman, political pundits Alyssa Farah Griffin and Molly Jong-Fast, Nita Farahany, Dr. Sandro Galea, Mark Ludwig, as part of the Jacoby-Lunin Humanitarian Lectureship, and sports journalist, Sally Jenkins.
