Poetry–– Why Bother? On Why People Need Poetry with Jack Pasanen
Jack Pasanen has taught high school and college English since 1960. He retired from his position as Chair of the English Department at Miss Porter’s School in 2002 and since then has been a volunteer teacher in several prisons in CT.

The Art of Conscious Recovery with Amy LaBossiere
Amy self-published her memoir, Finding Still Waters: The Art of Conscious Recovery, which explores her personal journey to recovery through creativity and mindfulness. She published an epilogue to the book this year.
Drezner Gallery: May 20th
Jo Lynn and Lilla will share the inspiration and process behind their work in the Drezner Gallery exhibit "Kindred Spirits." They met as students at the Rhode Island School of Design and formed an enduring friendship that has lasted for over 50 years!

Upcoming Exhibits
Our Summer Community Calls Exhibit focuses on a fascination with the majesty of the sea and its marine life inhabitants. Submissions can be 2-D or 3-D work in a variety of styles and media inspired by the ocean and the creatures within, including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and mixed media.
Work must be delivered to Fisher Gallery by June 28 during regular business hours.

Come exhibit and sell your work while sharing space with a studio artist at the Farmington Valley Arts Center at our second annual Fall Arts Market. The event will be held indoors, rain or shine, on Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This is a juried event with limited space.
