The weekend begins with a luminary-lit hike at Crossroads at Big Creek Nature Preserve on Friday, February 16 from 5:30 – 7 pm.
Enjoy a magical, memorable winter experience with hot chocolate and bonfires. This family-friendly event is offered at no charge.

Saturday, February 17, 2024

Saturday, stroll around town to witness novice and professional carvers turn blocks of snow and ice into works of art beginning at 9 am! Destination Sturgeon Bay member businesses have sponsored 20 ice blocks and 6 snow blocks this year. Carvers of all ages and skill levels will compete for cash prizes and the People’s Choice Award.

All are welcome to enjoy free Door County Trolley rides, 11 am to 3 pm. Trolley stops will be located on both the East & West Waterfronts of Sturgeon Bay. Park your car, hop on a trolley, and check out all of the happenings taking place throughout Sturgeon Bay.

Third Avenue PlayWorks will be hosting an Indoor Winter Market from 10 am to 2 pm featuring vendors offering handmade knit pieces, fun freeze-dried goodies, unique art, and much, much more! This is the perfect spot to warm up and steamy, hot cocoa will be available for purchase.

Hike, snowshoe, cross-country ski, or simply explore on Saturday at Potawatomi State Park during Winter Trails Day presented by The Friends of Potawatomi State Park. Join the Friends in the warming shelter at the picnic area on the park’s south shoreline for refreshments and to warm up by the fire, 11 am to 1 pm.

2024 Annual Fire & Ice Gala, Saturday, February 17:
Saturday evening the excitement continues during the annual Fire & Ice dinner and auction.
The evening begins at 5 pm with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and conversations in the Harbor Ballroom at Stone Harbor Resort. Try a specialty Fire and Ice cocktail. Dinner will begin at 6 pm.

Break out those dancing shoes because The LoveMonkeys will start the show at 8 pm. They’ll break at 9 pm so you can have a front-row seat for the Winter over the Water Fireworks Show before more dancing and entertainment until midnight. Also, try your luck at the poker table, roll the dice at the craps table, or spin the wheel at the roulette table. Casino Games available from 8 – 10:30 pm.

Destination Sturgeon Bay will once again partner with Handbid Online for an online silent auction featuring over 60 amazing, local products from businesses around Door County. The auction opens for bidding on Friday, February 9 at 12 pm and will close on Saturday, February 17 at 10 pm. All are welcome to participate.
