The Addition of These Wolves Brings the Total Count of Mexican Wolves to 9 at the Wildlife Science Center in Stacy, Minnesota

Captive breeding of Mexican wolves and red wolves has been the primary source of animals for reintroduction into the wild since both populations were extirpated in the late 1970's. The effort relies heavily on private groups like the Wildlife Science Center (WSC) to offer safe living space for breeding and non-breeding animals across the country. WSC has been home to Mexican wolves since 2001 and is proud to receive this new pack! The three males lived together, but the female is new to them all, so we are observing their interaction closely to watch for signs that they are getting along.
