5 - 10 p.m. Beyond the Wonderland: Celebrate never really growing up with an Ice Fort Building Comp and Snowball Fight followed by dancing the night away.

Brrr-illiant 10-minute Plays: 10-Minute Play festival put on by the FM Community Theater. FMCT has selected 12 original 10-minute plays from over 120 submissions from all over the world. The two weekends of shows features actors from all ages, abilities, and walks of life.

Stars of PBS: Stars of PBS is a fun-filled day for the whole family brought to you by the MSUM Planetarium and Prairie Public. The full-dome show, One World, One Sky: Big Bird's Adventure, features in the planetarium every 45 minutes starting at 9:45 am throughout the day. Tickets are FREE and available in the Center for Business 45 minutes before each show. They are first come first served. There are 60 tickets available for each show.
In the Center for Business (across the street from the Planetarium) Prairie Public & the MSUM Planetarium host tons of activities and resources for families to enjoy. Additionally, families can come meet the day’s STAR of PBS, a character from one of their favorite PBS shows who will be making a special appearance for the event. We will reveal the character soon!! Stay tuned!
This year we will have a scavenger hunt for a chance to earn a special prize and be entered into a drawing for a private planetarium show! Check out all of our activities and visit the community partners to fill in your scavenger hunt map and enter to win big! Our community partners will be there with activities and resources to share in the fun!

1 - 3 p.m. Camp Warming House: Join the West Fargo Park District outdoors at this family-focused Frostival event! Enjoy a variety of free winter activities throughout the recently renovated park including sledding, skating, and s'mores. Also, don't forget to bring your camera to take advantage of the themed photo areas!

11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Fun at Frozen Fortress: Embrace the cool of winter with a day of outdoor activities and events: The Moorhead Business Association's Snow Sculpture Contest, free cross-country ski and snowshoe rentals, outdoor games, a hot chocolate station, a marshmallow roast, and much more frosty fun!
Register for an Interpretive Snowshoe Hike hosted by River Keepers and participate in activities including a scavenger hunt, Snowga, Dance Attack, and a meditation circle for free! Catch a children's show sneak peek from FMCT in the Hjemkomst Center.

11 a.m. - 3 p.m. AXIS Clinicals Presents Snow Sculpture Competition: FREE & Family Friendly! The Moorhead Business Association (MBA) invites you to be a part of the Snow Sculpture Competition, presented by AXIS Clinicals. Stroll through Viking Ship Park and VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE SCULPTURE during the Frozen Fortress! Voting is open from 11 am-2 pm. WINNERS ANNOUNCED AT 2:30PM! These 10 ft. tall snow sculptures are HAND CARVED during the week leading up the event, with a lot of time, effort, and passion put into them. Come support these amazing artists and check out their creations.

11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Chili Plus: Serving a hot meal of chili and hot dogs in the Hjemkomst building to those attending the Fun at Frozen Fortress and Snow Sculpture Competition. There will be toppings for you to customize your chili like sour cream, shredded cheese, diced green peppers and more.

9 p.m. - 1 a.m. Frost N Bowl: All you can Bowl 9 pm to 1 am for $12 per person. Includes 20 credits ($5) for the arcade! All ages are encouraged to join the fun!

2 p.m. Greenland - Then & Now featuring Minnesota Arctic Explorer Lonnie Dupre: Minnesota Arctic Explorer Lonnie Dupre will present "Greenland - Then and Now" at the Moorhead Public Library on Saturday, January 28th at 2 p.m. Lonnie was born and raised in Minnesota and achieved the first circumnavigation of Greenland by kayak and dog team. All are welcome to attend this free event.

1 p.m. Uff Da - It's Cold Outside it's Hotdish Time: Registration open until 12:30 pm with judging starting at 1 pm. Public hotdish feed starts at 2 pm depending on the number of entries. Silent auction is from 11 am - 3 pm.
Entrants should bring a copy of their recipe.
All the proceeds go to the Veterans Honor Flight. Everybody loves hotdish.

3 - 6 p.m. Winter Fun Days at Talecris Plasma Resources: Plasma bottle bowling, craft tables, warm beverages, and treats! Interested people can get a tour of our center and ask questions about donating plasma and all the wonderful things that happen when you are a kind plasma donor. Please join us for a fun filled day.

Freezing for a Good Reason: The FM Legion Riders, a Veteran motorcycle organization, along with local celebrities will be sleeping outside in the dead of winter for 44 hours.
Friday: silent auction all weekend long, flag raising and national anthem at 4 pm, Goden Drive presentation at 5 pm, & Front Fenders on stage 7:30-10:30 pm.
Saturday: silent auction all weekend long, "Sweet Saturday Morning" donuts with apple cider & coffee from 8-11 am, soup cook-off registration 10-11 am, judging from 11 am - 12 pm, public soup eating from 12-2 pm, corn hole tourney from 2-5 pm, Veterans & Honor Flight presentation at 5 pm, and karaoke from 7-11 pm.
Sunday: the silent auction ends at 11:30 am, Legion Riders breakfast from 8:30 am - 12 pm, Ice Cube Bingo starts at 3 pm, and SAL (Sons of the American Legion) will be serving burgers all afternoon.

9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Youth Pond Hockey Day: Grab your friends and come out and play hockey how it all started ... on the ponds! This event is supported by community hockey organizations. Divisions are 10U, 8U, 6U. All divisions are coed. This one day event features multiple rinks and a warming tent for those looking to escape the winter elements. Games are two 10 minute halves.

1-4 p.m. Winter Warm-Up at the Rourke
Get cozy in downtown Moorhead! Fill up at our complimentary cocoa bar after browsing our handmade mug market, gather around the fire pits in the M. Dorian Clemedtson Memorial Sculpture Court, and shop for toasty mittens, hats, and scarves from local fiber artists. Help keep our neighbors warm, too, by dropping off winter weather accessories for our community hat and mitten drive!

11 a.m. Stonewall Sports Winter Kickball Tournament: Join us for Stonewall Sports Fargo’s first-ever winter kickball tournament! Bundle up for a day out on the field at M.B Johnson Park. Up to 8 teams of 10 will play in a one-day tournament. A warming shelter, hot chocolate, and treats will be provided.

6-8 p.m. Candlelight Trail Walk: Take a scenic stroll around Viking Ship Park with a trip through Mary's Tunnel! Learn about constellations from local astronomy groups and hear caroling from FMCT around a fire.

2 p.m. FrosTAKular: This will be a live music concert featuring songs from musicals geared toward children. Some songs performed at last year's show were "Let It Go," "Can You Feel The Love Tonight?," and "Hakuna Matata." There will be a balloon drop during the final song. Concessions will be available for purchase before and during the show. The show will run for about 60 minutes.

We will be featuring music from across the decades with artists like: The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Queen, Sir Elton John, and Grateful Dead. Music genres include: Rock, Pop, Hypno/trance, country, electronic, 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s Alternative. There is sure to be something for EVERYONE!

2 - 4 p.m. Coffee & Cocoa Crawl After Party: Join the Nordic Culture Clubs for a Coffee and Cocoa Crawl After Party FIKA at the Sons of Norway Olav Ballroom. Enjoy Blueberry Almond Cake and Swedish Coffee donated by Stabos Imports. Other activities include a Frostival photo booth and Nordic music.
You do not need to attend the Coffee and Cocoa Crawl to come. NCC will be presenting a Video Showcase of Performers booked for the June 23-24, 2023, Scandinavian Festival at Hjemkomst Center.

Youth Ice Fishing Derby: Bring your ice fishing rod and try your luck at the annual Youth Ice Fishing Derby. South Woodhaven Pond is stocked with perch, bluegill and northern pike. Holes are pre-drilled for participants. Free s'mores and giveaways (while supplies last).

10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Community Blizzard: West Fargo residents and the surrounding areas are encouraged to create snowflakes with whatever medium you feel comfortable with. (with a size limit of 1'x1') to bring and share at the West Fargo Public Library. We will decorate the library throughout Frostival to showcase the participants - Like each snowflake that falls; we know that all the residents in the Tri-City area and beyond are unique, and we would like to exhibit their creativity. Snowflakes will be available to be dropped off during library hours.
