From: Cuivre River State ParkJEFFERSON CITY, MO – Give the gift of natural habitat for fish this season by recycling your live Christmas trees at Cuivre River State Park. The park will accept live Christmas trees from Dec. 26, 2023, through Jan. 15, 2024.
Park team members and fisheries biologists from the Missouri Department of Conservation will sink the donated trees in Lake Lincoln in an effort to improve fish habitat there. By providing structure and cover for fish, the trees will improve fishing opportunities for park visitors. The drop-off point will be marked with a sign at the back of the visitor center parking lot.
For more information, including hours when the park is accepting trees, call 636-582-7247. Cuivre River State Park is located 5 miles east of Troy at 678 State Route 147.
