From: Kentucky Governor Andy BeshearFRANKFORT, KY - Gov. Andy Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:
Gov. Beshear has appointed David Figg as a member of the University of Kentucky Board of Trustees for a term expiring June 30, 2030.
- David Figg of Beaver Dam is the chief executive officer of Rice Drugs Inc. He replaces Kimberly McCann, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Derrick Helm as a member of the Western Kentucky University Board of Regents for a term expiring June 30, 2030.
- Derrick Helm of Jamestown is an attorney at Helm, Shearer & Wilson. He replaces Linda Ball, whose term has expired.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Sanford Holbrook as a member of the Morehead State University Board of Regents for a term expiring June 30, 2030.
- Sanford Holbrook of Mount Olivet is the Superintendent of Robertson County Schools.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Matt Butler as the Commonwealth’s Attorney for the 47th Judicial Circuit of Kentucky.
- Matt Butler of Jenkins replaces Edison Banks, who has resigned. Butler will serve subject to the provisions of Section 152 of the Constitution of Kentucky.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Bryan Daniel as a Magistrate for Ohio County.
- Bryan Daniel of North Hartford is a journeyman millwright at Millwright Local Union 1076. He replaces Kenneth Calloway, who has resigned, and will serve until the next general election.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Priscilla Keller, Leigh “Amber” Snell and Corrine Murphy and has appointed Scottie Collier as members of the Education Professional Standards Board.
- Priscilla Keller of Paducah is a teacher at Livingston County Schools. She represents elementary school teachers as a member of the Board and will serve for a term expiring June 29, 2027.
- Amber Snell of Richmond is an educator at Madison County Schools. She represents middle school teachers as a member of the Board and will serve for a term expiring June 29, 2027.
- Corinne Murphy of Bowling Green is the dean of the College of Education at Western Kentucky University. She represents postsecondary institutions as a member of the Board and will serve for a term expiring June 29, 2027.
- Scottie Collier of Louisville is a principal with Jefferson County Public Schools. He represents principals as a member of the Board and replaces Daniel Stanfield, who has resigned. Collier will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term expiring June 30, 2026.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Francis Darrell Mattingly and has appointed Tessa Wilkerson, Robin Rider-Osborne and Katrina Ford as members of the Statewide Independent Living Council.
- Francis “Darrell” Mattingly of Lexington is a web designer at the University of Kentucky. He represents advocates of disabled persons as a member of the Council and will serve for a term expiring May 19, 2027.
- Tessa Wilkerson of Livermore is a social worker at McLean County Schools. She represents advocates for, and individuals with, disabilities as a member of the Council and replaces Ruthe Holmberg, whose term has expired. Wilkerson will serve for a term expiring June 16, 2027.
- Robin Rider-Osborne of Covington is retired. She represents advocates for, and individuals with, disabilities as a member of the Council and replaces Sharri Anderson, whose term has expired. Rider-Osborne will serve for a term expiring June 16, 2027.
- Katrina Ford of Louisville is a volunteer for the Center for Accessible Living. She represents advocates for, and individuals with, disabilities as a member of the Council and replaces Andrea Strassburg, whose term has expired. Ford will serve for a term expiring June 16, 2027.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Amy Miller and Mark Wheeler and has appointed Alan Long and Eric Scott as members of the State Board of Accountancy.
- Amy Miller of Harlan is a self-employed certified public accountant. She represents certified public accountants as a member of the Board and will serve for a term expiring June 30, 2028.
- Mark Wheeler of Louisville is a banker at Central Bank. He represents citizens at-large as a member of the Board and will serve for a term expiring June 30, 2028.
- Alan Long of Richmond is a self-employed certified public accountant. He represents certified public accountants as a member of the Board and replaces David Price, whose term has expired. Long will serve for a term expiring June 30, 2028.
- Eric Scott of Louisville is a certified public accountant with Ernst & Young U.S. LLP. He represents certified public accountants as a member of the Board and replaces Anne Brooks, who has resigned. Scott will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term expiring June 30, 2025.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Thomas Owen to the Kentucky Humanities Council for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2028.
- Thomas Owen is an archivist at the University of Louisville.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Benjamin Collier as a member and chair of the State Labor Relations Board for a term expiring April 23, 2028.
- Benjamin Collier of Garrison is the business manager at Plumbers, Steamfitters & HVAC Local 248.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Susan Hershberg and has appointed Brenna Caudill as members of the Kentucky Commission on Women for terms expiring Jan. 17, 2028.
- Susan Hershberg of Louisville is the owner of Wiltshire Pantry.
- Brenna Caudill of Henderson is the superintendent of the filtration plant at Evansville Water and Sewer Utility and fills a previous vacancy as a member of the Commission.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Francis “Darrell” Mattingly, Phillip Thornton and Sharon Wheatley and has appointed Stephanie Sharp, Carol Estes, Julia Sheets, Sally Ray and Shannon Masterson as members of the Hart-Supported Living Council.
- Darrell Mattingly of Lexington is a web developer at the University of Kentucky. He represents persons with a disability as a member of the Council and will serve for a term expiring July 14, 2025.
- Phillip Thornton of Nicholasville is retired. He represents family members of a person with a disability as a member of the Council and will serve for a term expiring July 14, 2025.
- Sharon Wheatley of Lebanon is a housing supervisor at the University of Kentucky. She represents family members of a person with a disability as a member of the Council and will serve for a term expiring July 14, 2025.
- Stephanie Sharp of Owensboro is a volunteer advocate for individuals with disabilities. She represents persons with a disability as a member of the Council and replaces Jerry Wheatley, who resigned and whose term subsequently expired. Sharp will serve for a term expiring July 8, 2027.
- Carol Estes of Warsaw is retired. She represents advocates for persons with a disability as a member of the Council and replaces Angela Rodgers, who resigned and whose term subsequently expired. Estes will serve for a term expiring July 8, 2027.
- Julia Sheets of Elizabethtown is a caregiver. She represents family members of persons with a disability as a member of the Council and replaces Laureen Vassil, who resigned and whose term subsequently expired. Sheets will serve for a term expiring July 8, 2027.
- Sally Ray of Bowling Green is retired. She represents members at-large as a member of the Council and replaces Kellie Smith, who resigned and whose term has subsequently expired. Ray will serve for a term expiring July 8, 2027.
- Shannon Masterson of Louisville is a self-employed occupational therapist. She represents members at-large as a member of the Council and replaces Carl Brown, who is deceased. Masterson will serve for a term expiring July 8, 2027.
Gov. Beshear has reappointed Mark Leach, Sharon Raymond, Casey Allen, Daniel “Danny” Slaton, Donna Fox and David Allgood and has appointed Heather McConnell, Andrea Strassburg and Ryan Guyder as members of the Commonwealth Council on Developmental Disabilities.
- Mark Leach of Louisville is a self-employed attorney. He represents parents and guardians of individuals with developmental disabilities as a member of the Council and will serve for a term expiring July 15, 2026.
- Sharon Raymond of Goshen is an ultrasound technician at Norton Healthcare. She represents parents and guardians of individuals who reside in an institution as a member of the Council and will serve for a term expiring July 15, 2026.
- Casey Allen of Kevil is an educator at Ballard County Schools. He represents parents and guardians of individuals with developmental disabilities as a member of the Council and will serve for a term expiring July 15, 2026.
- Danny Slaton of Louisville is a consultant at Top Shelf Lobby LLC. He represents parents and guardians of individuals with developmental disabilities as a member of the Council and will serve for a term expiring July 15, 2027.
- Donna Fox of Louisville is the program director at Options Unlimited. She represents individuals with developmental disabilities as a member of the Council and will serve for a term expiring July 15, 2026.
- David Allgood of Louisville is the director of advocacy at the Center for Accessible Living. He represents local and nongovernmental agencies as a member of the Council and will serve for a term expiring July 15, 2027.
- Heather McConnell of Murray is a full-time caregiver and registered nurse. She represents parents and guardians of individuals with disabilities as a member of the Council and replaces Aisha Omar, who resigned and whose term subsequently expired. McConnell will serve for a term expiring July 15, 2027.
- Andrea Strassburg of Lexington is the ward clerk at University of Kentucky Healthcare. She represents individuals with developmental disabilities as a member of the Council and replaces Amanda Peace, who resigned and whose term subsequently expired. Strassburg will serve for a term expiring July 15, 2027.
- Ryan Guyder of Lexington is the project coordinator at Independence Place Inc. He represents individuals with developmental disabilities as a member of the Council and replaces Matt Lowry, who resigned and whose term subsequently expired. Guyder shall serve for a term expiring July 15, 2027.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Mark Vaught and Greg Caudill as members of the Real Estate Appraisers Board.
- Mark Vaught of Somerset is an appraiser at Childers Financial Services. He represents real estate appraisers as a member of the Board and replaces John Brewer, who has resigned. Vaught will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term expiring October 31, 2026.
- Greg Caudill of Danville is a retired bank executive. He represents the lending industry as a member of the Board and replaces William Fultz, who has resigned. Caudill will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term expiring June 21, 2026.
Gov. Beshear has appointed Christy Terry as a member of the State Board for the Certification of Librarians for a term expiring July 1, 2028.
- Christy Terry of Paintsville is a librarian at Johnson County Library. She represents professional librarians active in public library work as a member of the Board and replaces Jonathan Campbell, whose term has expired.
