FRANKFORT, KY - Gov. Andy Beshear has ordered flags at all state buildings to be lowered to half-staff from sunrise until noon Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day.

“This Memorial Day, Americans everywhere gather to pay our respects to the men and women who gave their lives in defense of our great state and nation, and we recommit ourselves to never forgetting that we are the home of the free because of the brave,” said Gov. Beshear. “For those whose service requires the ultimate sacrifice, that is a debt we can never repay. For all their selflessness, our fallen Kentucky servicemen and women asked only this: that we remember them. And that is exactly what we will do as a commonwealth.”
