Gov. Beshear Orders Flags to Half-Staff Thursday in Honor of Kentucky Correctional Officer

FRANKFORT, KY - Gov. Andy Beshear has ordered flags at all state buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Thursday, Aug. 1, in honor of a Kentucky Department of Corrections officer who died last week.

Officer Hunter Scott Miller, age 24, of Danville, Kentucky, died after an incident that occurred while training for a special response team at the Northpoint Training Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. EDT on Thursday at The Showroom in Danville.
