Governor Murphy Orders Flags to Fly at Half-Staff to Commemorate 9/11 Anniversary

TRENTON – On Sep 10th, Governor Phil Murphy ordered that U.S and New Jersey flags be flown at half-staff at all state buildings and facilities on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, in remembrance of the nearly 3,000 innocent people that were killed in the 2001 terrorist attacks, of whom almost 700 were New Jersey residents.
 
“On the twenty-third anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, we must continue to remember and mourn the lives of those we lost,” said Governor Murphy. “On Sep 10th, we honor the lives taken and the sacrifices made by our first responders who served our nation with strength and resilience. We will continue to preserve their legacy by defending our democracy.”
