Governor Walz Issues Executive Order Outlining Responsibilities of New State Agencies

ST. PAUL, MN - Governor Tim Walz today issued Executive Order 24-07, amending previous executive orders to ensure that they apply to new agencies.

Executive Order 24-07 amends Executive Order 19-34 to add the commissioners of the Department of Children, Youth and Families and the Office of Cannabis Management to the Children’s Cabinet. It also amends Executive Orders 22-16, 22-20, 23-03, and 23-14 and makes sure that the executive orders that protect reproductive health care services, improve information security programs, protect gender affirming health care services, and improve access to state employment apply to the Department of Children, Youth and Families and the Office of Cannabis Management. Finally, it amends Executive Order 23-13 by updating the emergency responsibilities of state agencies to include the Department of Children, Youth, and Families and the Office of Cannabis Management.
