Richmond, VA – A new report from WJLA highlighted how anti-choice MAGA extremist Hung Cao would refuse to codify reproductive health care access. When asked by WJLA’s Nick Minock if he would codify Roe v. Wade, Hung Cao praised the disastrous Dobbs decision and refused to answer the question, trying to hide his extreme anti-choice agenda from Virginians. 

Virginians know they can’t trust Hung Cao to protect their reproductive freedom as the last state in the South without a draconian abortion ban. Here’s a reminder of just how extreme Hung Cao is on reproductive freedom:

- Cao compared women who have an abortion to Nazis.  

- Cao said he saw the same evil in the eyes of a bomb maker as he does in a supporter of abortion rights (which, by the way, is a majority of Virginians according to the latest VCU poll).  

- Cao even was caught supporting a national law that would make abortion illegal with zero exceptions for rape and incest. 

- Cao’s believes life begins at conception, which could put access to in vitro fertilization and birth control on the MAGA chopping block.

“Hung Cao can’t run away from his extreme anti-choice agenda that would overrule the will of Virginians and make abortion illegal nationwide with zero exceptions for rape and incest,” said DPVA Chairwoman Susan Swecker. “As the final state in the South without extreme abortion restrictions, Virginians know how important it is to protect our reproductive rights. Virginians deserve a Senator who will stand up for reproductive rights, not someone who marches in lockstep with the MAGA architect of Dobbs, Donald Trump.”
