RALEIGH - The North Carolina Republican Party (NCGOP) held a Family First Forum on Friday, August 16 in Elizabeth City.

The forum was led by NCGOP Chairman Jason Simmons, who was joined by over 40 attendees from Pasquotank County and the surrounding area. The purpose of the forum was to discuss issues and policies relating the economy, public safety and security, and education.

Among the attendees at the forum were NC-01 Republican Congressional nominee Laurie Buckhout, N.C. State Representative Bill Ward, N.C. State Senator Norm Sanderson, Pasquotank County Sheriff Tommy Wooten, and Camden County Sheriff Kevin Jones.

"It was great to be among so many great individuals to discuss these important issues," said NCGOP Chairman Jason Simmons. "The Family First agenda of North Carolina Republicans means a strong economy, improving public safety and security, and a quality education for all students. I look forward to continuing to go across the state to highlight how Republican polices will make North Carolina the best state in the nation for families."
