PENNSYLVANIA — Connecticut hedge fund CEO and mega-millionaire David McCormick’s lies about where he lives remain in the spotlight after Scranton Mayor Paige Cognetti called out McCormick during a recent interview with Northeast Pennsylvania’s WILK Radio.

• Nancy Kman: What is it with the Senate races too? Where we have seen Republicans in Pennsylvania – where we question, are you really like – Hey, we’re not saying you never lived here – but, I mean, remember Rick Santorum and the mansion we had Mehmet Oz, you know, not living here, but buys a house here, whatever. And the same thing with McCormick. It’s just, you know, it seems like a thing that we see every time we have one of these races where the Republicans are like, are you living here or not? Tell me.

• Scranton Mayor Paige Cognetti: Yeah, it is. This is a state of 13 million people. How the Republican Party has not been able to field a Senate candidate in years that lives in the commonwealth is beyond me. I mean, it works… Listen, I mean, obviously I’m a huge Bob Casey supporter, and as Scranton mayor wants to see him continue, because he knows us and knows the type of funding that we need here in Pennsylvania and I know he deeply cares about all of Pennsylvania, but especially his hometown. But it is just bizarre to me that the Republicans keep doing this. And you know, we’ve seen the airline – you know – the private jet tracker with Dave McCormick.
