Audition for IBA’s Professional Program

The International Ballet Academy(IBA) invites high school students who wish to pursue a professional career in dance and who demonstrate artistic promise, technical ability to join our Professional Program.

Our specialized curriculum has been carefully crafted over 20 years and has helped dancers develop, master the necessary skills for a professional career in dance.

Pre-Professional Division

IBA also invite students in the academic grades 7 and 8, who are interested in developing their skills in preparation for professional studies to start their journey by joining the Pre-Professional Division. Students in the Pre-Professional Division of our Professional Program complete the technique and performing portions of the Professional Division curriculum and participate in selected performances in some capacity with the International Ballet Theatre.

Registration for our Professional and Pre-Professional Division are currently being accepted. We invite you to join IBA and dive in the world of professional dance under the guidance of our artistic director Ms. Vera Altunina and the professional instruction of our respected and knowledgable faculty.

“The Professional Division has offered me a unique training experience beyond those typically offered to high-school aged students. For me, the highlights of this experience have been the focus on performance opportunity, as well as the overall rigor of the training. Through disciplined training, I have built a strong technical foundation for dance. But I have found that building artistry requires more than training, it requires experience and collaboration with other artists. As a Professional Division student, I have had the opportunity to perform lead and featured roles in numerous productions with a diverse community of dancers. The opportunity to learn from and partner with other dancers from around the world has pushed my skill level and broadened my perspective of what it means to be an artist.”

In-Person Audition

from 11:00 to 12:30 PM.

Professional Division | Ages 14 and up

Pre-Professional Division | Ages 13 and up

Video Audition

All video auditions must be submitted by August 26th, 2024
