Join Kidzu’s early childhood educators and explore our newest addition to the museum, The Nest! Each session includes time for child-directed play, collaborative art and STEM projects, and group story time.

Japanese Storytime

Included with admission!

Join UNC students for folktales told in Japanese and English followed by related crafts! This program is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers. Stories will be told in both Japanese and English.

Ballet Workshop

Friday, June 16th @ 4:30 PM - 5:15 PM

FREE for the public!

Join the American Dance Festival at Kidzu for a FREE Creative Movement and Ballet Workshop led by Daisy Hodge! This workshop will begin inside University Place Mall and then lead participants out to Kidzu’s garden for our FREE Garden Party!

Explore the garden, get your hands dirty in the dig plot, participate in hands-on activities, and more! Help Kidzu care for our garden at this FREE informal, drop-in event for caregivers and their children. Storytimes are scheduled at each session!

In the Makery

Stop by Kidzu's Makery for crafts and activities inspired by Juneteenth and African-American Music Appreciation Month! Make your own music and construct confetti poppers to join the party!
