2023 Fall Benefit: An Evening of Play
September 23rd, 7 – 10 PM at Chapel Hill Country Club
Join us for an exclusive event to support Kidzu's expansion plans and kick off the week of the Worldwide Day of Play—when the Association of Children's Museums and Nickelodeon have joined forces to encourage children and adults to disconnect from screens and go play! Please support us in making play accessible to all families, all year long.
Worldwide Day of Play
Saturday, September 30th. FREE admission all day!
Kidzu invites everyone to COME PLAY! We will be celebrating the Worldwide Day of Play, an annual event sponsored by Nickelodeon and the Association of Children's Museums. Join us at the museum for a day of FREE fun and active programs featuring local makers, artists, dancers, athletes, authors, and more.
This Week
Fridays starting September 15th from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM. This is a paid event. Register here through Jammin' Baby's website.
Come experience music and movement for ages 0-5 and their caregivers. This program offers songs and rhythmic rhymes, including fingerplays, small- and large-movement activities, and instrument play. Facilitated by Jammin’ Baby, LLC.
Friday, September 15th, 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM
We have two exciting solar eclipses happening this year! Kidzu celebrates by exploring astronomy at our September garden party. Explore the solar system and beyond with hands-on crafts and activities. Also listen to story time and live music by Meadowlark Music!

Starting September 12th: Tuesdays 8:30 AM – 10 AM (virtually) and 10:30 AM – 12 PM. Wednesdays 8:30 AM – 10 AM and 10:30 AM – 12 PM. This event is FREE.
Join us in the Nest for this 12-week session that integrates early literacy and STEM activities into daily routines, encourages connections among caregivers, and focuses on caregiver and child health and wellness. This program is for Orange County residents (children ages 0 – 3 and their caregivers) who are not enrolled in licensed childcare.

Saturday, September 16th from 5:30 PM – 9:00 PM. $30 per child. Kidzu members receive 20% off.
Parents, you deserve a night out! Leave the childcare to us! Kids will enjoy a fun–filled night, including exhibit play & exploration, a staff led activity, and dinner from Alfredo’s Pizza Villa. This drop-off event is currently for children ages 3 – 9 (must be potty independent). Kids will exercise their minds, bodies, imagination, and independence.

Caregiver Education Program: Reading Diverse Children's Books
Thursday, September 21st from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM in the Nest. This event is FREE.
A collaboration between Kidzu and Rainbow Collective for Change, this FREE Caregiver Education Program will cover the ‘why’ and ‘how’ of reading diverse children’s books together as a family. All caregivers will receive a diverse children’s book to take home, generously provided by Rainbow Collective for Change.

Saturday, September 23rd from 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM at Fayetteville Street Mall, Raleigh. This event is FREE.
Kidzu is excited to join Festa Italian Raleigh in celebrating Italian culture and heritage in the Triangle. Come visit us at Fayetteville Street Mall in Raleigh for activities, crafts, storytime, and more! Learn more about the event here.

Join us for fun-filled camp days with STEM themes! Our campers play and explore in Kidzu’s exhibits, tinker in our Makery, and engage in STEAM-based projects together.
