From: Cuivre River State ParkJefferson City, MO – Give fish a gift this year by recycling your live Christmas tree. Cuivre River State Park will accept live Christmas trees for fish habitat until Jan. 15, 2023.
Team members from Cuivre River State Park will join fisheries biologists from the Missouri Department of Conservation to sink the donated trees in Lake Lincoln in an effort to improve fish habitat. By providing structure and cover for fish, the trees will improve fishing opportunities for park visitors.
Cuivre River State Park is located 5 miles east of Troy at 678 State Route 147. The drop-off point will be marked with a sign at the back of the Visitor's Center parking lot.
