The legend of princess Anastasia becomes an engaging new adventure as LifeHouse Theater premieres its original musical “The Legend of Anastasia.” Following a family tragedy, Anastasia seeks to escape her home country and begin life anew. But first she must contend with the power-mad Rasputin. Join the lost princess Anastasia as she searches for happiness and a new beginning.

Performances begin Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 7:00 PM and will continue on weekends through May 14, 2023. Performances are Fridays at 7:00 PM, Saturdays at 2:00 PM (except Opening Night) and 7:00 PM, and Sundays at 2:00 PM. In addition to the weekend performances, a special weekday performance will be presented at 7:00 PM on May 11.

Advance ticket prices are $27 or $25 for adults and $13 or $12 for children ages 3-11 (no children under 3 are admitted) and can be purchased over the phone with a Visa or MasterCard by calling (909) 335-3037. Tickets are available online at boxoffice.lifehousetheater.com. Checks can also be mailed to LifeHouse, provided reservations are made far enough in advance. Tickets may also be purchased in person at the box office, which is open Fridays from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM and one hour prior to performance times on the weekends. Tickets are $2 more the day of the performance. Group rates are available for groups of ten or more. Guests are encouraged to reserve seats early as performances do sell out.

“In this new musical, we examine how Anastasia’s life might have looked had she survived one of the greatest tragedies Russia has ever endured,” comments Scott. “We combine history and legend to share a unique and powerful story of forgiveness.”

The musical features the talents of Kristiana McKelvey as Anya, Jordan Haro as Alexei, Jeremy Yeo as Rasputin, Jacob Michel as Boris, Nicole Prusa as Irena, Ed Derry as Luca, and Jennifer Keeney as Dowager Empress Maria Feodorovna.

 “The Legend of Anastasia” is written and directed by Sarah E. Pearce. Joining Pearce on the production staff is music director Giulia Bratosin, choreographer Jennifer M. DeWitt, costumer Beth Derry, set designer Jacob Michel, and assistant director Holly Groza.

LifeHouse Theater’s 29th season continues with the return of “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” (May 27 – June 25, 2023), followed by the new Broadway favorite, Disney’s “Newsies” (July 8 – August 6, 2023) and concluding with “Daniel” (August 19 – September 17, 2023). Money-saving season passes are now on sale at the LifeHouse Box Office.
