During the Nevada Senate debate last week, MAGA extremist Sam Brown was forced to answer for his toxic right-wing agenda of reopening Yucca Mountain and pushing to ban abortion even in cases of rape or incest, while Senator Jacky Rosen presented a clear message about her bipartisan record of delivering for Nevadans.
Here are just a few of Brown’s worst moments on the debate stage:
Brown claimed he didn’t change his position on Yucca Mountain after being asked directly about his support for restarting the nuclear waste repository project in Nevada.
During his failed Senate run in 2022, Brown was caught on tape saying that restarting Yucca Mountain as a dumping ground for the nation’s nuclear waste was an “incredible opportunity.”
Then, after weeks of doubling down on this toxic stance, Brown was forced to backtrack, telling supporters that he “did not know a ton about the history” of Yucca Mountain – an issue that has dominated Nevada politics for decades.

Brown tried to cover up his decade-long extreme anti-abortion record – and failed.
Brown has a decade-long extreme anti-abortion record, including pushing to ban abortion even in cases of rape or incest, supporting a Texas law that had some of the toughest abortion restrictions in the country, saying that his anti-abortion views are “non-negotiable,” and serving as the local president of an extreme anti-abortion group that supports a national abortion ban.

Brown doubled down on his extreme economic agenda of extending tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy at the expense of hardworking Nevadans.
Brown is pushing an extreme far-right economic agenda that would hurt hardworking Nevada families and small businesses, including extending Trump’s massive tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy and giant corporations and threatening to gut Social Security and Medicare.

Senator Rosen highlighted key GOP endorsements as Brown’s campaign is losing support across the spectrum, including from Republican Mayors who are crossing party lines to vote for Rosen instead.
Brown’s struggling campaign is rapidly losing support from Nevadans across the political spectrum – even in his own party. Brown has “failed to generate excitement among conservative voters, even in the more rural parts of the state where Republicans typically win overwhelmingly” due to his “unfamiliarity with state issues.”
Republican Sparks Mayor Ed Lawson, who has never voted for a Democrat before, plans to vote for Jacky Rosen over Sam Brown next month. In September, life-long Republican and Ely Mayor Nathan Robertson also endorsed Jacky Rosen.

Brown doubled down on his opposition to the Washoe County Lands Bill – but Rosen proved to Nevadans that Brown has failed to even read her legislation.
Jacky Rosen’s Truckee Meadows Public Lands Management Act would help to expand economic development and affordable housing opportunities in Washoe County by directing over 15,800 acres of federally owned public lands to be made eligible for sale, all of which must be assessed for its suitability for new affordable housing.
Watch Jacky Rosen remind Nevadans that Brown clearly hadn’t even READ THE BILL (which is supported by Democrats and Republicans in Nevada) before opposing it .
Oddly, earlier that day, Brown admitted to the Washington Post he WOULD support Rosen’s legislation when he realized it was widely supported in Washoe County.
And after Brown’s awful debate performance, he left the TV station immediately because he knew he couldn’t answer for his poor performance or his extreme record.
