-There will be no school for students and teachers tomorrow Friday, October 15 for Fall Break.

-Madeira City Schools is partnering with MSA Architects to perform an athletic facilities feasibility study for our current school programs in Grades 7-12.  Please take a few moments to share your thoughts about our current athletic facilities as we seek to identify and prioritize needs.  Results from this survey will be used to help develop an Athletic Facility Master Plan. News from the Madeira Schools Foundation:
-NEW DATE!!! Due to venue availability, the date for the Madeira Schools Foundation Annual Auction has been changed from the printed calendar. Please mark your calendars for the new date - Saturday, March 11, 2023.

-Ruth Slagle Crawford Alumni Scholarship applications are due November 1 at MSF Scholarship. 

News from the Madeira Music Boosters:
-Are you looking for a Madeira 1/4-zip or full-zip jacket to finish out the fall sports season?  All sizes have been restocked!  Shop at Music Boosters Online Store. Also, just in time for the holidays, Madeira Music students in MMS and MHS are selling delicious Butter Braids and Wooden Spoon Cookie Dough. Proceeds go toward Madeira Music Programs and will help with new choir and band uniforms. Orders can be placed with a student seller on paper - or search for the student who you would like to get credit for the sale at Madeira Music Online Store.  Orders are due by Monday, November 7. Braids/Dough will be ready for pickup Tuesday, November 15, 4:30-6:30 p.m. (product arrives frozen.) Make checks payable to Madeira Music Boosters.  

-The MHS Key Club’s annual Rake n’ Run is scheduled for Sunday, November 6. They are currently looking for senior citizens who need assistance in having their leaves raked before the winter. If interested, please contact Treasurer Anna Lewis at [email protected]. The MHS Key Club advisors are Kim Homer and Julie Leugers.

-Congratulations to Molly Hurley whose artwork was selected to be represented in the Ohio House of Representatives High School Student Art Exhibit. Only one artwork is displayed for each Ohio House at the Vern Riffe Center for Government and the Arts in Columbus, Ohio until May 2024. Additionally, Molly was awarded $100 for her artistic achievement.

-Great Oaks Career Campuses will hold three “Coffee Chat” sessions for students and families to learn about education and career options: Anderson Branch Library on Tuesday, October 18, at 6 PM; Deerfield Township Administration Building on Monday, October 24 at 6 PM, and a virtual “Coffee Chat” on Wednesday, October 26 at 6:30 PM.
