For one glorious day, festival attendees have the opportunity to sample the whoopie pie in a wide variety of creative flavor combinations and vote for their favorites. But we do know you can’t just eat whoopie pies from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (believe us, we’ve tried), so there are plenty of other things do to at the festival.          

Start your day off as a spectator or participant at the "Earn Your Whoopie Pie 3K Race/Walk” at 8 a.m., then browse and enjoy the arts, crafts, and foods offered by more than 100 vendors while listening to live music. There are also rides and games for kids of all ages, whoopie pie eating contests, and more.

8:30am: Piscataquis Regional YMCA “Earn Your Whoopie Pie” Kid’s 1K Fun Run, for kids and Adult 3K Run/Walk. To pre-register & for more info, call 564-7111 or visit the Piscataquis Regional YMCA. The race will start and finish at the Piscataquis Regional YMCA, 48 Park St. Awards presented immediately after the race, back at the starting line. Free Whoopie Pie to the first 25 registrants!

9:00am - 12:30pm: Book sale at the Thompson Free Library. 186 E. Main St.

9:00am - 1:00pm: Dover Cove Farmers Market. 1049 W. Main Street at the Piscataquis County Ice Arena.

?10:00am: Festival Opens!

10:00am:  Mayo EMS Teddy Bear Clinic opens at the First Aid tent by the Fire Station.

?10:00am - 4:00pm: The 3rd annual Dover True-Value Homeshow Expo at True Value, 69 East Main Street. Visit vendors for info on building materials and earn raffle tickets to win lots of great giveaways and prizes. And try out the Ariens and Graveley Test Track!!

10:00am - 4:00pm: Varney Agency Kid’s Zone OPENS with TONS OF ACTIVITIES – Bring the whole family to the Varney Agency Kids Whoopie Zone! We’ll have rides, games, activities all day long. Including pony rides by Infinity Farm! Kid’s Zone includes both free and ticketed activities! 143 East Main St.

10:00am - 4:00pm: Stop by the Union Square Mall in the Whoopie Pie Zone for sweet deals and specials from Repeat After Me 2, Owl-Bee Crafting, and the Tech Peddler!

10:30am: True Value Entertainment Center Opens: Thief of Joy live on stage

11:15am: Chainsaw Carving Demo by Burns Bears at the True Value Entertainment Center

12:00pm: Local singer and musician Brian Smith

12:00pm: Youth Whoopie Pie Eating Contest, 12 and under. Located at the True Value Entertainment Center (True Value Parking Lot)

12:30pm: Teen Whoopie Pie Eating Contest, Located at the True Value Entertainment Center (True Value Parking Lot)

1:00pm: Adult Whoopie Pie Eating Contest (20 and up), Located at the True Value Entertainment Center (True Value Parking Lot)

1:15pm: Chainsaw Carving Demo by Burns Bears at the True Value Entertainment Center

2:00pm: Thief of Joy performs at the True Value Entertainment Center

2:45pm: Chainsaw Carving Demo by Burns Bears at the True Value Entertainment Center

4:00pm: Festival Closes. Spend the rest of the weekend exploring our community and beautiful region!
