Eyeing a hard apple cider? Brace yourself: apples are up 6.7 percent and alcoholic drinks up 9.5 percent. 

Want to carve pumpkins with your kids? Tool prices have increased by 18.7 percent. 

Even making a cozy bowl of chili feels cursed, with meat prices up by 24.4 percent and bean prices up by 22.9 percent.

And if you’re feeling too lazy for chili, canned soup prices are also up a frightening 27.2 percent.
