The Middle School Music Festival is open to solos, small ensembles, and large ensembles of students in grades 5-8. Each large ensemble performance is adjudicated by two judges, provided a superior or excellent rating, and given written and verbal comments. Solos and small ensembles are adjudicated by one judge and those earning a superior rating receive a gold ribbon.

Fees: $12 each for solos and small ensembles and $50 for large ensembles

If the festival is cancelled due to inclement weather, a refunding of half the application fees will be provided.

Remember to provide a copy of the scores to each judge (two for bands and choirs, one for solos and small ensembles).

Lunch will be available in the WSC cafeteria for $9.60 per person. Please indicate on the application form an approximate number of “eaters” so the cafeteria can plan. Please do not pay for lunch in advance. All checks should be payable to Chartwells and paid at the door.
