10:00 am - 12:00 pm: MLK Children's Program: "Tellebration"
Celebrate the legacy of Dr. King at the annual "Tellebration" Children's Program! This vibrant event promises a day full of engaging arts and crafts, along with captivating live storytelling. Join us as we honor Dr. King's values through creativity and imagination, making it a memorable experience for children and families alike. Don't miss out on this wonderful celebration!
5:00 pm - 8:30 pm: 2025 Dreamfest Cultural Celebration
Get ready for an unforgettable evening at the 2025 Dreamfest Cultural Celebration: "Stronger Together: Cultivating a Community of Compassion!" This exciting event promises a perfect blend of entertainment and enlightenment, featuring keynote speaker Rev. James A. White, Senior Pastor of Christ Our King Community Church. The fabulous Melissa Wade, Stellar Award Winner and beloved radio personality from 103.9 The Light, will serve as our Mistress of Ceremonies.
Prepare to be inspired by an incredible lineup of talent, including the amazing Al Strong, the Cary Apex Youth Choir, and Collin Williams. Enjoy captivating performances by Poet Laureates Cortland Gilliam and Fred Joiner, along with the dynamic Pure Life Theater and the talented Gifted Arts Dancers. And that's just the beginning! MLK Day of Service at Good Hope Farm

10:00 am - 12:00 pm: MLK 5K Walk For Hope
Mt. Zion Church is thrilled to partner with the Town of Cary for the MLK 2025 Dreamfest weekend, honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through acts of service. We invite the Mt. Zion family, friends, and community to lace up their tennis shoes and join us for a charity walk to give back in the spirit of Dr. King's vision of service and unity. Bring non-perishable foods to support the Dorcas Food Pantry, and together, we can help those in need while embodying Dr. King's words: "Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'"
