Diabetes Prevention Program

to Launch January 25, 2023

Supportive Lifestyle Intervention Program

If you have been diagnosed with prediabetes or believe you may be at risk for developing diabetes, the Y is here to help you!

We are excited to announce that we will be offering the YMCA’s National Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) beginning January 25. This evidence-based program helps overweight adults at risk for type 2 diabetes adopt and maintain healthy lifestyles by encouraging healthy eating, increased physical activity, and modest weight loss. The program provides a supportive environment where participants work together with a trained lifestyle coach in a group setting to achieve the following goals:

- Reduce body weight by 5-7%

- Increase physical activity to 150 minutes per week

Spots are still available for the class beginning January 25! To find out your participation readiness, fill out the self-assessment form. For any questions, additional information, and if you are interested in enrolling in the DPP program, please contact:
