From: Norman Rockwell MuseumStockbridge, MA - Norman Rockwell Museum (NRM) is pleased to welcome three new team members and to announce the promotion of two colleagues.
Newly appointed to the Museum’s staff are Joseph Harrigan as security and safety manager; KL Pereira as the Museum's archivist/curatorial information manager, and Kat Warner as digital communications and marketing manager.
Harrigan will lead the security team who provide a welcoming and secure environment for visitors and safeguard the art and Museum campus. He formerly served as a Sergeant with the Albany, NY Police Department for 22 years, most recently in the role of community policing before joining the Museum.
KL Pereira will be instrumental in processing and preserving NRM's diverse archival collections, establishing a long-range conservation plan, and caring for Rockwell's personal library, while overseeing the Museum's extensive Library of illustration-related books, recordings, and film-based materials. She will also oversee management and development of the Museum's digital collections, which have been significantly expanded and made available to audiences across the country and around the world.?She starts May 1st. Pereira served as archivist/curatorial information manager for the Westfield Athenaeum and Museum of Science in Boston.
In her new position, Kat Warner joins the marketing and communications team in supporting visitation and engagement, raising visibility, and advancing programming, fundraising, retail, and scholarship. She will lead multi-channel social and digital communication efforts, including content, press materials, and outreach that connect NRM's communities near and far. Warner was formerly with the Brevard Music Center, in North Carolina.
Museum director/CEO, Laurie Norton Moffatt, further announced promotions of two staff members, citing their leadership and talent in advancing important areas of the Museum.
Lesley Hamilton has been promoted to the position of director of finance and administration. Hamilton joined the Norman Rockwell Museum in 2018 and has worked as finance manager for five years. In that time, she has developed numerous new systems, processes, and procedures in the business office and across the institution, enhancing financial controls and information flow. In her new role, she will maintain and implement further innovations to accounting, operating, and administrative policies in support of departmental and museum-wide goals and objectives.?
Alexa Wichowsky has been promoted to membership manager. Since 2018, she has planned member and donor events, curated development communications, and fully supported the department as development associate. As the newly appointed membership manager, Wichowsky will bolster the Museum's membership program, support stewardship and fundraising, and leverage the NRM's digital engagement with its local, national, and international community.
