Northern New Jersey Community Foundation Welcomes Two New Members From Stryker and Valley Bank to the Board of Trustees

Hackensack, NJ -- The Northern New Jersey Community Foundation (NNJCF) announces the addition of Enos Ntombura and Joseph Ferro to the Board of Trustees. Both hold leadership positions in their companies. Ntombura serves as Senior Director of Sales Operations at Stryker Corporation, based out of the Mahwah, New Jersey offices. Ferro is Vice President/Market Manager at Valley Bank for the Greater Hackensack area.

Creating a Vision

Founded in 1998, the NNJCF, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization headquartered in Hackensack, New Jersey, works to build connections, pool resources, and provide leadership to enrich quality of life in these eight counties in the state: Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic, Sussex, Union and Warren. The NNJCF’s mission provides collaborative leadership, builds effective partnerships, and pools diverse resources to enrich quality of life in Northern New Jersey. At this time, the NNJCF's board of trustees is completing the organization's vision for the next 25 years and undertaking a three-year strategic plan.

Leaders in Their Fields

These new members of the NNJCF's Board of Trustees are leaders in their fields of work. Ntombura holds over 25 years of experience in Sales Performance Management. In recognition of his leadership skills and strategic acumen, he received the 2020 Manager of the Year across the entire Stryker corporation. Ntombura is the Founding President of the Stryker African Ancestry Network, an employee resource group that expanded nationally and internationally, and plays a pivotal role in attracting, retaining, and engaging diverse talent within the organization. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance & Management and an MBA from the Christos M. Cotsakos College of Business at William Paterson University. Further enhancing his leadership capabilities, he completed the Harvard Business School Leadership program, a year-long intensive for high-potential leaders.

For several years, Ferro has worked in the banking industry with different companies. He began his banking career at Summit Bank, where he started as a Customer Service banker. Since then, he has worked with several banks in management positions. Currently, he works at Valley Bank, where he manages two teams of 15 employees handling over 750 million in deposits. His strong ties to the communities in which he works has resulted in meaningful relationships with businesses and residents to create an impact for their financial needs. For a short time, he left the banking field and worked with a family business, traveling overseas and participating in several trade shows for a year. Ferro holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management from St. Peter’s University.
