Fassbender - William John Fassbender III, age 70, beloved husband of Lori Lynn Willaimson Fassbender of Oxford, died peacefully on October 26, 2024 at Waterbury Hospital. Born in New Haven on October 16, 1954, he was the son of the late William John Fassbender, Jr. and Dorothy “Dot” Redshaw Fassbender. Mr. Fassbender was raised in Seymour, attended Seymour High School and was a lifelong resident of the Seymour - Oxford area. Mr. Fassbender worked as a skilled home improvement contractor for many years, until the time of his illness. He enjoyed boating, horses, Nascar and classic cars- ever searching for the blue Chevy Nova of his youth. Mr. Fassbender was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Seymour, loved Caribbean cruises and jaunts to the casinos, but was most happy at home working on projects and spending time with his family. He was a devoted father and will be long remembered for his special love for his children.

In addition to his wife of 28 years, he is survived by his cherished children, William John Fassbender IV “Billy” and his companion Tina Kewalis of Oxford and Isabella Lailahny Fassbender “Bella” of Oxford; sister, Jan Lee Budetti and her husband, Richard of NV; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be announced in the future. The Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia is in care of arrangements.
