This Friday at midnight is the application deadline for the 2024 Biennial curated by Jackie Im and Anuradha Vikram. The Biennial is a survey of works by visual and performing artists who are defining and advancing Oregon’s contemporary art landscape.  The 2024 Biennial will be focused on curatorial themes of networks, community, care, and support. Rather than a hierarchical approach to artists' works, the goal is to present work that is timely and relevant to the communities of Oregon. Selected artists will receive a stipend to create new work for the exhibition.
To be eligible for consideration in the Biennial, artists must have lived in Oregon as a primary residence for the last two years. You are eligible if the Portland metropolitan area has been your primary residence for the last two years. The area is defined as comprising Clackamas, Columbia, Multnomah, Washington and Yamhill Counties in Oregon, and Clark and Skamania Counties in Washington. ?

We are thrilled to announce that we are extending Fernanda D’Agostino’s Chrysalis (Generativity) exhibition run by one week. The show now runs through Sunday, March 12. Details and a video highlighting the exhibition are now available to view on our website.

This Saturday, March 4 at 6pm, choreographer and performer Laura Cannon and creative coder and installation artist Fernanda D’Agostino join forces to bring to life the projection sculptures of Chrysalis (Generativity). Channeling the slow motion and alchemical transformations of the natural world, Cannon will inhabit the work as an animating presence.
