‘Vote Local PA’ will help Pennsylvania Democrats win up and down the ballot in November

On Aug 28th, the Pennsylvania Democratic Party is launching ‘Vote Local PA,’ an innovative voter engagement program combining field strategy with digital assets and literature featuring every Democratic candidate on the ballot in all 67 Pennsylvania counties. Electing Democrats at all levels, from Vice President Harris and Governor Walz to statewide and local Democratic candidates, is crucial for safeguarding reproductive freedom, Social Security and Medicare, and building a thriving middle class in Pennsylvania. In service of that mission, Democrats aren’t taking a single vote for granted. Instead, the ‘Vote Local PA’ program is boosting PA Dems’ already strong ground game to reach more voters where they are by tailoring separate, distinct, and local messages for Pennsylvania voters in all 67 counties and educating Pennsylvania voters on all the incredible candidates on the Democratic ticket across the state.

Specifically, ‘Vote Local PA’ does the following:

  • Creates targeted literature for the 203 state house districts and all 67 counties for tailored messaging across the state of Pennsylvania, totaling over 395 pieces of literature.
  • Allows users to access a QR code that links directly to the PA Democratic Party website where messaging is updated in real-time for every locality and district.

Pennsylvania Democratic Party Executive Director Mitch Kates released the following statement:

“For the 2024 election cycle, Pennsylvania Democrats have an aggressive goal of not only making history by sending Kamala Harris to the White House and Senator Bob Casey back to Washington – we will build on our congressional delegation majority, increase our Democratic majority in the State House, and finally flip control of the State Senate where we currently sit within striking distance of taking the majority. That’s why we’re creating ‘Vote Local PA’ – a first of its kind program to target and tailor messaging in all 203 state house districts and in every county across the state. What resonates with voters in Philadelphia doesn’t always resonate with voters in Bellefonte, which also differs from what resonates with voters in Scranton. All politics is local. In the birthplace of American democracy, we are doing all we can to reach voters with Democrats’ pro-freedom, pro-middle class agenda to win up and down the ballot. We are committed to meeting voters where they are.”

DNC Acting Co-Executive Director Roger Lau released the following statement:

“The path to the White House runs through Pennsylvania, and Democrats are meeting voters where they are – at the doors, on the phones, and in their communities – to share our party’s commitment to fight for the people, to lower costs, and to protect our freedoms. The DNC is investing more than ever before in state parties, supporting the largest-ever coordinated campaign on the ground in PA and backing innovative initiatives like Vote Local PA to reach every voter ahead of Election Day. We know this election will be won in the states, and over the next 70 days, Democrats will engage voters in all 67 Pennsylvania counties with a targeted, tailored message on how we’ll deliver for them and their families this November.”
