What better way to kick off the summer than with Tacos, Cerveza, and Tequila! Join us in downtown Royal Oak through June 30 - July 4 for a street festival including eats from over 50 taquerias and eateries, ice-cold margaritas at 2 Fro-Zones, 4 stages of live entertainment, and more! Taco Fest presents a carefully crafted entertainment lineup that’s appealing to all ages. The event will feature some of the regions’ most impressive musical talent line-ups with a range of musical genres and styles performing all day that will please any crowd.

The Royal Oak Taco Fest is family-friendly, featuring loads of fun for all ages at the Kids Zone, including bounce houses, glitter tattoos, crafts and so much more! Guests will enjoy hours of action-packed entertainment with Lucha Libre wrestling, daily contests including the hot sauce challenge and timed taco-eating contests, tequila sampling, artisan vendors, and more.

Axe Throwing

The thrills of sticking an axe into a target is guaranteed to bring out everyone's Inner Lumber Jack!

All participants must be at least 18 years or older with a valid ID and waiver completed onsite.

Hot Sauce Contest

How much heat can you handle? Dare to take the challenge of conquering the hottest hot sauces around on the Soaring Eagle Stage during Royal Oak Taco Fest!

Participants will be challenged to eat tortilla chips drenched in different hot sauces created from a variety of peppers that increase in heat on the Scoville scale, while answering a few “burning” questions!

There is no pre-registration for this contest. We suggest that you be near the Soaring Eagle/Stage near Rock on 3rd prior to the competition time. We can’t guarantee anyone a spot in the contest. First come, first serve basis.

The Hot Sauce Contest will take place on the Soaring Eagle Stage located near The Rock on Third.
