From: San Ramon Chamber Of CommerceFarewell Letter from Kathy Fanning
16 Year San Ramon Chamber of Commerce Employee
Dear San Ramon Chamber of Commerce and Community Members -
It is with mixed emotions that I announce to you today my retirement from this amazing organization. After almost 16 years of serving as your Director of Events, and most recently as Interim President/CEO, I will travel to Europe this summer and return to a new opportunity closer to home (which is now in Sacramento).
One of the most rewarding experiences of my career was organizing our bi-annual Business Expo and Mixer, which brought together hundreds of local businesses each and every year. I loved seeing the creativity and diversity of our business community and the connections and opportunities created through these events.
In addition, a big and fulfilling aspect of my job was hosting government events, such as the annual State of the City Address, which gave me the opportunity to work closely with our city leaders and officials. I enjoyed facilitating dialogue and collaboration between the public and private sectors and showcasing the achievements and vision of our city.
I am extremely grateful to have had the privilege of working with so many smart, passionate, and dedicated people. You have taught me so much, inspired me every day, and made me very proud to have been a big part of building and strengthening our wonderful San Ramon business community.
A huge thanks to Stewart Bambino, the City of San Ramon, our Board of Directors, our Ambassadors, and our Chamber Members for their trust and support over the years. You have been invaluable allies and friends in my journey, and I appreciate your support and alliance—more than you know.
As I leave the Chamber, I take with me countless fond memories and some forever friendships. I will always cherish the time I spent here and I will always be rooting for the Chamber's continued success. You have made a positive impact in my life, and I hope that I have made one in yours.
It has been an honor and a pleasure.
Sincerely,
Kathy Fanning
