What a finale and what a start for our friends at the Hotchkiss Library of Sharon! Thank you to the over 160 young readers who participated in our summer reading program and the amazing members of our community who supported the program with memorable events. Thank you to Oblong Books for providing the incentive with gift certificates and the Friends of Scoville Memorial Library for supporting programs.

Wednesdays & Fridays, 10:30am through August
Join us Wednesday and Friday mornings for the remainder of the summer, for rhymes, songs, stories and more! This song and story time is for all ages and will take place on the Scoville Memorial Library lawn next to the Buttons Garden.
Salisbury Band Concert on the Scoville Memorial Library Lawn
Saturday, August 26, 5:00- 7:00 pm
Since 1928, the Salisbury Band has been marching in firemen’s parades and performing at concerts-on-the-green and other community events. The Salisbury Band is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing traditional band music to the Northwestern Connecticut community.
Feel free to bring a lawn chair and more.
Friends of the Scoville Library are accepting donations of books for ongoing book sales
Mondays 10 am to 12 noon
All proceeds benefit the library's programs.
Donated books should be: clean and in good condition so that they will be appealing to other readers, relatively dust free, not discolored or written in structurally sound with intact binding and pages which are not ripped.
Please no textbooks, encyclopedias, dictionaries or travel guides older than four years.
Donations can be dropped off on Mondays between 10-Noon, or contact the Friends to make other arrangements.
