The main event will be the showing of five local gardens, all distinctly different. The homeowners will be at each home to answer questions and talk about their gardening techniques. Docents will greet you at each home.

But there is more to this day than just strolling through lovely properties ~ a reception and Gift Basket Auction is being held at the Seatuck Environmental Center at 550 South Bay Ave., Islip, from 10 am until 2 pm.  During this time, stop in to see the lovely Scully mansion and surrounding grounds, sit for a few minutes with a cold soft drink and homemade cookies, and take a look at the many beautiful baskets that will be auctioned off.

Raffle tickets will be on sale throughout the day and the auction will take place at 2 pm.  “The Secret Gardens of Islip” Garden Walk is the Society’s main fundraiser.
