Twelfth Night, or What You Will is a romantic comedy by William Shakespeare, believed to have been written around 1601–1602 as a Twelfth Night's entertainment for the close of the Christmas season.

The play centers on the twins Viola and Sebastian, who are separated in a shipwreck. Viola (who is disguised as Cesario) falls in love with the Duke Orsino, ?who in turn is in love with Countess Olivia.  Upon meeting Viola, Countess Olivia falls in love with her thinking she is a man.

YEAR END GIVING CAMPAIGN

Thanks to those who have made an early donation to our Year End Giving Campaign! In the first month we reached over $3,750 of our goal of $10,000

Yes, we're asking for money ... as a local non-profit Spotlighters exists only with the support of our patrons.  Ticket sales cover less than 50% of our operating budget.

This year we need to raise $10,000 ....

WOW, that sounds like a lot, but in reality that is about 6% of our total budget.

That is because we already have a great group of donors that are already supporting the theatre and several foundations, plus the Baltimore Office of Promotion and Art, and the Maryland State Arts Council.

What does it look like for patrons to raise $10,000 ...

It could be as easy as 800 folks donating $12.50 each to the theatre, ...

It could be 65 people joining The 100! with a monthly donation of $12.50, ...

It could be that current members of The 100! increase their monthly by $5 or more ....

Whatever path, Spotlighters needs your financial support. Please consider how much you can donate to support the theatre you love at Spotlighters, and to provide opportunities for local designers, actors and technicians to explore and develop their skills.

Make your donation online at www.spotlighters.org/partners or you may mail your check to:

Changes to COVID GUIDELINES at Spotlighters.

After much discussion and with information from local and national health sources, Spotlighters will NO LONGER require proof of COVID Vaccination to attend a performance.  We strongly encourage our audience members to get vaccinated to help control the spread of the COVID virus but realize that each individual must make their own health choices.

We will continue to require all audience members to wear a mask at all times while in the lobby or theatre.

We will rely on our HVAC System and Air Purification (DHP) Systems to maintain a clean environment for all of us.

As in all things, these guidelines are subject to change with the ever changing research and science around COVID.

Spotlighters Theatre needs your help ....

As a Non-Profit Organization, recognized by the IRS as a 501-c-3, Spotlighters exists largely through the donations of individuals and foundations (both community & private).  Over 50% of our income comes from these donations. Please make a donation to Spotlighters.

DONATE NOW!

Support the Challenging and Engaging Theatre created by Spotlighters Theatre with a donation today! OR, .... Join The 100! with a small monthly donation of $6.25 (or more) per month. Use your debit or credit card and help us meet the routine expenses of the theatre each month!

All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by the IRS.

Your support means so much to all the actors, designers, volunteers, and patrons!
