LIGHTING GRID PROJECT

Thanks to an amazing team of volunteers the entire Lighting Grid - all instruments, cables, and the sound equipment were removed after the close of What Was Done on Sunday, July 23rd!

Volunteers:

Eric Marcus (Board of Directors),

Aidan Deighan (Audio Intern - Peabody), Stu Goldstone, Jason Braswell,

Meg & Elinor Bower.

Lead by our new Technical Director, Robert Brooks.

This gives us time to sort the equipment, and determine which instruments Spotlighters will retain for future use. Plus we are ready for the Electrical Engineers from Union Electric to come in on July 31st to start removing the old power cabling and patch system, along with the grid pipe .... and start the installation of the new Grid Mount hardware and run new power supply for the new LED instruments.

DONATIONS are still needed .... Support the Lighting Grid Fund!

Yes, we have the funding to install the new grid and power, and for the basic LED instruments for the stage, but we need a bit more to make the system all it can be for the best lighting at Spotlighters! We need to raise $7,500 to complete the instrument list!

Please make a donation - $25, $50, $100 or more ... go to www.spotlighters.org/partners and make an online donation, be sure to select LIGHTING GRID PROJECT as the fund. You may also make a donation by mailing a check to Spotlighters Theatre - 817 Saint Paul Street - Baltimore, MD 21202. Please include a note that this is for the Lighting Grid Project. THANKS!

Spotlighters Theatre in collaboration with the Baltimore Playwrights Festival presented the first staged production of a new work by Baltimore Playwright, Jack L. B. Gohn, directed by Barry Feinstein.

Spotlighters hosts the BPF Readings during the late Spring and selects a work from the ten readings for a full scale production at the end of the season.

Spotlighters Theatre and the Board of Directors wants to thank the Baltimore Playwrights Festival, Playwright Jack . B. Gohn, Director Barry Feinstein, Producer Miriam Bazensky, our amazing cast, designers and crew for helping present this powerful and moving production!

And we want to thank you, our wonderful audience members who gave us multiple sold out performances ... and commented on how the show impacted you. As one audience member said, "This is just the start of a much needed conversation."

THE STORY: ?In the small town of Shirley, Vermont, five strangers gather in a dance studio to embark on a unique journey together in a creative drama class for adults. The group moves through a series of acting exercises, ranging from the heartbreaking to the ridiculous. In this one small room, through these few seemingly trivial games, quiet wars are waged, emotional wounds are nursed, and healing is finally, slowly, able to begin.

There is no official rating system for live theatre.

We encourage you to use your judgment based on your child's age and maturity level.
