Statement From Governor Shapiro's Administration on House Passage of Legislation to Enact the 2024-25 Budget

Later tonight, Governor Shapiro intends to sign this bill, deliver remarks, and address the media after the budget passes the Senate.

Harrisburg, PA - On July 11, 2024, in response to the House passing legislation to enact the 2024-25 budget that has been agreed upon by legislative leaders in both parties, Governor Josh Shapiro Spokesman Manuel Bonder released the following statement: 

“After months of hard work and the dogged determination of our Administration and Republicans and Democrats in both the House and Senate, this agreed upon budget delivers on bipartisan priorities to invest in our students, create safer communities, grow our economy, cut taxes and costs, responsibly spend taxpayer dollars, and build a better future with more freedom and opportunity for all Pennsylvanians.

Governor Shapiro looks forward to signing this budget as soon as it reaches his desk and is thankful to the leadership and staff in his Administration and the legislature for their hard work and dedication.”
