Ahead of Trump’s town hall and Vance’s Sparta visit, Chair Barnes reminds voters of their history of lies

LANSING — On Sep 17th, Donald Trump and J.D. Vance are coming back to Michigan to push their extremist agenda. Ahead of their events, Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party Lavora Barnes released the following statement:

“On Sep 17th, Trump and Vance will lie directly to our faces about their plans when we know that their Project 2025 agenda will raise costs for Michiganders and strip away our fundamental freedoms.

“Michiganders won’t be fooled by the lies that Trump and Vance spew — Trump is still the same self-serving person that he always has been and this November, Michiganders will rebuke him at the ballot box.  A Trump-Vance presidency would spell disaster for Michigan, which is why over 40,000 Michiganders have signed up to knock doors, send out texts, and make sure that we elect Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz this November, and send these extremists packing.”
