"We are thrilled to support these exceptional projects that reflect the dynamic cultural fabric of Staten Island," said Pia Agrawal, Executive Director of Staten Island Arts. "Each artist we support reflects and refracts the world through their own unique lens, helping us understand the past, process the present, and aspire to a more perfect future."

Celebrate with Us at the Grantee Gathering

We invite you to join us for a free public grantee gathering on Sunday, August 25th from 1PM-4PM at Killmeyer’s Old Bavaria Inn, located at 4254 Arthur Kill Road, Staten Island, NY 10309. This event offers a unique opportunity to meet the artists and learn about the wide range of projects that received funding this year.  We look forward to celebrating this year's grantees and their inspiring projects with you. Our Partners in Arts and Culture

These grants were made possible by the generous support of public funding from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, New York City Council, the Howard Gilman Foundation, and the Mertz Gilmore Foundation. Additionally, the SU-CASA program, a citywide initiative funded by the New York City Council and administered by the Department of Cultural Affairs and the Department for the Aging, played a crucial role in supporting these projects. Our Statewide Community Regrant program, supported by the New York State Council on the Arts with the backing of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, also contributed significantly to this year's grants.

In our next few emails, we'll be profiling a few of our 2024 grantees so that you can learn more about them, and check out their projects in the coming months!

Thank you for your continued support of Staten Island Arts and our mission to nurture local talent and promote inclusivity within our vibrant arts community.
